No-School Nature Camp: Mountain Lions and Bears, Oh, My!
Often our greatest fears in heading out into the woods are that we are going to be “eaten” by something like a mountain lion or a bear. Of course, logically, we know that our odds of getting hurt while driving to the store for milk are greater than our odds of being eaten in the woods. Mountain Lions and Bears, Oh, My! is all about gaining a better understanding of the large predators that live in our ecosystem and the important role that they play. Kids will learn about what they eat, where they live and how to avoid them. We will also use role-playing to practice what to do to stay safe if we do encounter a mountain lion or a bear in the wild. All of this will be infused into creative play and exploration of the woods. Rarrr!
This camp will be held at Hendricks Park. Click here to learn more about Hendricks Park.
