No-School Nature Camp: Shelter from the Storm
Shelter building is an essential outdoor skill which also happens to be tons of fun! In Shelter from the Storm kids will be building forts…at least, that’s what we want them to think. While the kids are building forts they will also be learning about the principles of natural building. With the elements of structure, shingling and insulation one can build almost any kind of dwelling. By using natural materials found in the forest we will inspire creativity and self-sufficiency as kids begin to feel at home in their natural environment. All the while they will be building their own “home” in the woods.
This camp will be held at Hendricks Park. Click here to learn more about Hendricks Park.
