No-School Nature Camp: Way of the Woverine
Way of the Wolverine is one of our four Learning Pathways. Way of the Wolverine is all about the skills of survival. Kids that come to the Way of the Wolverine No-School Nature Camp will be learning about how to take care of themselves in the woods. We will place a focus on lost-proofing kids. But we will also be teaching them what to do if they do get lost on the woods. Kids will learn how to find and utilize natural shelters to protect themselves from the weather. They will learn how to collect safe drinking water in an emergency. All kids will learn about fire safety and the 3rd-5th graders will learn how to find dry fuel and light a fire even in wet weather. Kids who start down the path of the Wolverine are on their way to becoming at home and comfortable in the woods.
This camp will be held at Hendricks Park. Click here to learn more about Hendricks Park.
