Looking for an educational outdoor program that offers real skills? You have come to the right place. Coyote Kids Homeschool is an opportunity for kids to become students of nature. Our trained nature mentors guide students to finding a deeper understanding of the natural world and their place in it. Our program structure includes a mix of directed activity and child-led play which allows students to explore the natural environment on their own terms. Learn more about what makes us different.

Students will work on learning skills of survival, awareness, and self sufficiency to develop independence and deepen their relationship with nature. Students will have opportunities to achieve certifications in things like fire building, shelter construction, animal track ID, navigational skills, wild plant uses, and more.

Coyote Kids Homeschool is open to all families in our area but is designed for the needs of home-schooling families. This program has no religious affiliation or message. This program is for children only, sorry parents. We encourage you to check out our monthly adult trainings for programs specifically tailored for adults.

What other parents have to say

I was amazed at the change in my son. I expected him to learn some cool nature stuff, and he did. But what really impressed me was the change in his character. He seems to show better judgement and self confidence. When we go outside I no longer have to check to be sure he is wearing the right clothes because he took care of it himself. The instructors are great role models.
-Dave R.

Both my daughter and I wholeheartedly love Whole Earth Nature School. This is, hands down, my child’s absolute favorite outside home camp/school experience she has ever had… I have complete respect and admiration for your instructors. They provide such safe, creative, soulful, meaningful, caring, and fun experiences for the kids. My daughter came home with a great big smile, and dirt in her pockets, every single day. Whole Earth Nature School provides a perfect combination of freedom and structure, play and education, while inspiring love and appreciation for nature and wildlife. This is a beautiful program.
-Margo V.

I’m really impressed with the skills that Max is learning… and with his changing awareness about the outdoors. I grew up in the woods and take so much outdoor skill for granted – it’s been great to watch how you teach and how he learns from you. I have especially appreciated his interest in tracking, shelter-building and the plants and animals that he sees. Thanks for your well-conceived and effective program.
-Kevin F.
