Art of Nature

Art of Nature

One of the best ways to get to know our natural world is to experience it through art. Art of Nature This week is all about making art from, and inspired by, nature. Kids will gather objects from the forest to make collages and sculptures. They will design fairy houses in the forest from found materials. They will draw tracks and animals that they see. They will color in images of plants that grow all around us. Nature is a place of beauty and we will try to capture just a little bit of that through our art.

Students will:

  • Make sculpture from natural found materials
  • Draw and paint items found in nature
  • Make leaf rubbings
  • Build fairy houses
  • Track wildlife
  • Learn and draw wild edible and medicinal plants
