The Lost Treasure of Mount Pisgah

The Lost Treasure of Mount Pisgah

Treasure hunters unite! Legends tell of a mysterious treasure that was left behind by early explorers of the region. Nobody knows for sure what exactly the treasure is. As explorers and treasure hunters we must collect clues from each of the 6 ecological zones of the Mount Pisgah area (prairie, wetland, oak woodland, riparian, coniferous forest, mountaintop). Locating all these clues will require us to use a variety of navigational skills. We will learn to read maps and use a compass. Plus we will also practice “primitive” navigational techniques and train in the art of reading the landscape for clues to location and direction. Finally, we will also learn to use the movement of the sun and shadows as a compass. Join us for a week filled with adventure, games, teamwork, and discovery as we search for the Lost Treasure of Mount Pisgah!
